According to reports, officials have stated that a 5-year-old boy was among the eight individuals who lost their lives in the recent shelling incidents in Ukraine.
BBC News cited Governor Oleksandr Prokudin, who reported that a Russian attack on a village in the southern Kherson region resulted in three casualties, including the young boy. Two others were injured in the same attack.
On the other hand, Russian officials attributed five deaths and 15 injuries in occupied Donetsk to Ukrainian shelling. However, the broadcaster was unable to verify these accounts.
Mayor Alexei Kulemzin, backed by the Kremlin, stated that a 13-year-old boy was among those wounded in Donetsk.
The 5-year-old victim, named Vsevolod, was identified by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who also mentioned that the boy would have turned six in July.
