Actor Jonah Hill, known for his roles in “Superbad” and “The Wolf of Wall Street,” was spotted surfing at a beach in Malibu, California on Monday.

In several new photos, the 39-year-old actor was seen wearing a black wetsuit and sporting a long beard. Hill is part of a group called “Surf Jews California,” which he created for fun with filmmaker Spike Jonze and Beastie Boys member Mike Diamond.

In a 2019 Instagram post that he has since deleted, Hill revealed that surfing had always been a secret dream of his. The actor recently took a hiatus from the spotlight due to mental health concerns and deleted his Instagram account in 2022.

“Been terrified to surf my whole life,” wrote Hill. “Totally random fear and at the same time always been a secret dream of mine.”

“Turned out to be one of the most fun experiences I’ve ever had,” continued Hill.

After admitting to experiencing anxiety attacks and battling with his weight, Jonah Hill has taken a step back from the public eye in recent years. This came after his revelations in a Netflix documentary, and he has since kept a low profile.

“I always had an interest in personal style and fashion, but I was always a bigger guy,” said the actor in an interview with GQ. “It’s really hard when you’re overweight to dress a certain way because clothes aren’t made for people who are overweight to have style.”

“Even now, I’ll overhear someone discussing my place in the fashion world or whatever, and people are like, ‘That guy? The schlubby guy from ‘Superbad,’” continued Hill.

Hill, before deleting his social media, asked his fans to kindly stop commenting on his weight.

“I know you mean well but I kindly ask that you not comment on my body,” he wrote on Instagram. “Good or bad I want to politely let you know it’s not helpful and doesn’t feel good. Much respect.”

After a period of staying out of the limelight, the actor known for his role in “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” found himself back in the public eye recently.

Kanye West, who has faced controversy himself, publicly stated that Hill was the reason he “started liking Jewish people again.” Furthermore, it was revealed that Hill’s current girlfriend, Olivia Millar, who is also rumored to be his fiancée, is expecting their first child.

Millar was seen in Santa Monica sporting a baby bump and a sparkling ring on her finger. Hill may not have a social media presence, but fans can look forward to seeing him play the late Jerry Garcia in a Martin Scorsese-directed biopic about the Grateful Dead, available on Apple TV+.

Additionally, he has reportedly been selected to direct a film called “Outcome” with Keanu Reeves set to star.
