A 31-year-old man was shot dead in the entryway of a small residential building on Vyse Ave. in Bronx

Authorities said a man who had been arrested more than 20 times & spent nearly 2 years in state prison for assault and attempted robbery convictions was shot dead in a Bronx vestibule.

Dante Young, 31, was shot in the chest in the entryway of a building on Vyse Ave. about 6:30 p.m. on Monday. He passed away at the scene.

According to officials, Vyse lived about 2 miles from where he was shot dead.

It wasn’t clear why Young was shot, though investigators are searching for any links to his past.
