3 victims critically wounded in two separate shootings across the Bronx in a two-hour span

A 29-year-old man was shot 5 times on a Bronx street early Saturday, one of 3 casualties injured in 2 separate shootings across the borough in a two-hour span, authorities said.

The casualty was walking down Third Ave. in Claremont Village around 1:30 a.m. when a man started shooting, striking him twice in the back as well as his chest, hand and thigh.

First responders took him to St. Barnabas Hospital, and he was expected to survive.

About 1.5 hours earlier, few miles away, 2 men were shot as they stood outside a Valentine Ave. apartment building.

A man, 26, was shot in the stomach & another man, 22, was shot in the buttocks near E. 181st St. about 12 p.m. on Friday, police said.

Emergency responders took both individuals to St. Barnabas Hospital for treatment.
