The United States is reporting more than 46K new coronavirus cases each day, up 12% from the previous week & more than double what the nation was seeing in June, as lockdown restrictions were easing.
The number of cases reported in the US on Thursday was 57,191, which’s the highest in almost 2 months, & ten states saw their highest 7 day averages of new daily cases.
And where in the past just one or a few areas were experiencing a rise in cases, disease is now increasing across all areas.
It’s a case count that experts warn is far too high, ahead of what’s forecast to be a challenging, & deadly, winter season. The most recent United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention ensemble forecast says US coronavirus passings could reach 233K by the end of October.
