A days-long search sparked by the disappearance of a North Carolina woman ended with her safe return home

Authorities said a days-long search triggered by the vanishing of a 43-year-old North Carolina lady, who officials initially suspected tossed her mobile for fear of being tracked, has ended with her safe return home.

Kristin Glass last talked to family before heading to Topsail beach on Monday around 11:30 a.m.. Glass was spotted on security camera recording later the same day around 3 p.m. at a nearby bank and then seemingly disappeared.

The next day, a lady who identified herself as a pal of Glass shared a missing-person flyer to her Facebook page, which quickly went viral.

Fueled by the widespread attention, officials began their search efforts for Glass, which eventually turned up the missing woman late Thursday night.
