6 people, including a 4-year-old boy, were taken to the hospital after a fire broke out in Brooklyn, officials said.
The fire broke out inside a 3-story home on Pitkin Ave. in East New York about 1 a.m.
It was brought under control by 1:40 a.m., The New York City Fire Department said.
The kid suffered burns, authorities said. 2 women, both 38, an 18-year-old man, and 2 firemen all suffered smoke inhalation.
