Buddy Valastro, 43-year-old American baker who is best known as the star of the reality television series Cake Boss, shared pictures on Saturday that showed him icing a cake after his right hand was severely damaged in an accident in September.

In images posted on Facebook, Valastro wields a frosting tube in his left hand.

“Family time is the BEST time!” Valastro wrote. “Doing it all over again, left handed.”

The middle of Valastro’s right hand was lanced 3 times during a grisly bowling pin mechanism accident on Sept. 20.

With one hand wrapped in a cast, Valastro has taken a positive public tone.
