Charles Haeger found dead by self-inflicted gunshot after he allegedly shot & killed his ex-girlfriend

Less than 24 hours after he shot & killed his ex-girlfriend, 37-year-old American professional baseball player Charles Haeger was found dead by self-inflicted gunshot, according to officials.

Haeger was found around 4 p.m. Saturday on a trail along the South Rim of the Grand Canyon in northern Arizona.

Hours earlier, authorities had reported that Haeger was being sought in the shooting death of Danielle Breed.

Breed’s roommate told cops that she heard gunshots from inside her Scottsdale bedroom on Friday night. Haeger then walked out & pointed a gun at the roommate before running away.

Breed, 34, was found dead in her bedroom & Haeger’s abandoned car was found on Saturday in Flagstaff, about 150 miles north of Scottsdale.
