Authorities said a man was stabbed to death on a Manhattan sidewalk on Tuesday morning. The casualty was stabbed quite a few times in the rib cage on W. 175th St. in Washington Heights around 7 a.m. He was lying on the street corner dead when first responders showed up at the scene minutes after the attack.

Police arrested a 30-year-old suspect at the scene. Charges against him were forthcoming. Authorities were attempting to find out about the person in question. The intention for the attack was not clear.
