A federal judge partially granted TikTok’s request for a temporary injunction against a ban in the US

TikTok won’t be removed from US application stores, for now. A federal judge on Sunday conceded TikTok’s solicitation for an impermanent order against a push by the Trump administration to boycott the application in the US. The decision hinders a US government restriction on downloads of the application only a short time before the policy was to produce results.

The verdict is a triumph for TikTok after it challenged the boycott as unlawful and an infringement of fair treatment. John Hall, a lawyer speaking for TikTok said the boycott would have been an exceptional activity at the very time when the requirement for free, open and accessible communication in America is at its peak before a presidential election.
