Federal judge Carl Nichols plans to rule tonight on whether downloads of TikTok may be banned in the US

Judge Carl Nichols plans to give verdict this evening on whether downloads of TikTok might be restricted in the US. During a 1.5-hour meeting on Sunday, Nichols said his expectation is to convey either a directive impeding US government restrictions that are required to take impact at 12 PM Eastern time, or to deny TikTok’s solicitation for quick alleviation.

The decision could majorly affect TikTok’s 100 million US users. While it is too early to tell how Nichols may choose, he seemed to show his cards fairly while squeezing the Justice Department to defend why it trusts TikTok got enough due process in the issue.
