NYC mayor announced a 5 day furlough for 9,000 workers which will take place from October through March

New York City mayor, Bill De Blasio reported a 5 day furlough for 9,000 city laborers. He said administrative representatives not represented by unions would be influenced. The furloughs will happen from October through March.

The move comes after de Blasio reported 5 day furloughs for himself and his employees a week ago and comes even with amazing tax revenue setbacks. For quite a long time, the mayor has said he could terminate up to 22,000 city representatives if the federal government doesn’t give help or Albany doesn’t approve the city to obtain reserves.
