62-year-old cab driver was shot in the neck early Friday in Brooklyn by his passenger who tried to rob him

The 62-year-old taxi driver was approaching the side of Varet and Bogart Sts. in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn soon after 12 PM when his traveler threatened to use a weapon and requested his belongings.

The traveler shot a round, hitting the cabbie in the neck, yet ran off with nothing. First responders took the cabbie to Kings County Hospital, where he was in critical yet stable condition. No captures have been made.
