51-year-old ATV driver who ran a red light & was hit by an SUV in Harlem died of his injuries a day later

51-year-old ATV driver who ran a red light and was fatally hit by a SUV in Harlem passed on of his wounds a day later. Tony Harris was riding an ATV along the walkway on Fifth Ave. around 2 p.m. on Sept. 10. After he got onto the crosswalk against the red light, a Nissan Rogue going west on E. 129th St. collided with him.

Harris was tossed from the ATV during the accident, and arrived on the hood of the Nissan before sliding off and crumbling on the road. The casualty was taken to Harlem Hospital, where he passed on of his wounds the following day. The accident occurred twelve blocks from his home. The driver of the Nissan Rogue stayed at the scene. No charges were quickly recorded. Specialists said the driver had the green light.
