Starbucks is finally ditching straws & ushering in its long-awaited “sippy cup” lids for iced beverages

Starbucks is at last discarding straws and introducing its hotly anticipated sippy cup lids for frosted refreshments. Mixed refreshments, including Frappuccinos, and different beverages with whipped cream will at present accompany a domed cover and a straw included. That is, obviously, aside from where plastic straws are denied by local law. Also, in those cases, straws with elective materials will be utilized.

The straw-less lids are foreseen to be completely embraced in organization managed and licensed Starbucks stores in both the United States and Canada before the month’s over. The lids contain generally 9% less plastic than Starbucks past level top and straw mix and are made of polypropylene, a usually acknowledged recyclable plastic.
