Portugal football star Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 100th international goal on Tuesday

Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 100th international goal in Portgual’s Nations League match against Sweden, turning out to be just the second man in history to arrive at the achievement. The evergreen 35-year-old arrived at the milestone with a stunning free kick just before half time and proceeded to score his 101st goal for his nation in the second half.

It means Ronaldo is currently just eight goals behind the unsurpassed international record of 109 goals, set by Ali Daei. The 2-0 triumph ensured Portgual made it two wins from two to start the defense of its Nations League title, won last year in the tournament’s inaugural season.
